We attended our second City of Mission Pool Party for Pooches the day after Labor Day. This time the whole family got in the pool together. Missy spent the entire time whining and whimpering as she chased a tennis ball back and forth and Xena spent all of her time chasing after Missy. The tricky part was staying close enough to Missy so that she couldn't escape out of the pool and run around barking hysterically at the other dogs. We kept her leash on the whole time so we could grab her when necessary. Xena had a habit of trying to climb on whatever was closest to her when she got too tired. Once she climbed up Peter's back when he didn't see her coming. Piper had a great time lounging in her floaty and clapping as we cheered the dogs on.
